60 kW in a European first and +21% contacts: our LAMIERA 2025 report

A 60 kW source mounted on an FHD, running for the first time in Europe, on the largest booth Cutlite Penta has ever built. For us, LAMIERA 2025 closed with 21% more contacts.

LAMIERA 2025 ran from May 6 to 9 at Fieramilano Rho: four days, more than 18,000 professional visitors and over 400 exhibiting companies across 40,000 square meters (organizers' figures). We were in hall 13, booth D13, with two systems running: the FHD and the FAST.

The 60 kW IPG in a European first, mounted on the FHD

The centerpiece of the booth was the 60 kW fiber laser source by IPG Photonics mounted on an FHD: it is the first time a system of this power has been put to work in Europe. On the FHD that power runs with assist gas pressures up to 25 bar.

What made the difference at the show was not the number printed on a panel: it was the machine cutting and the parts you could pick up and hold. People who work sheet metal look at the cut edge, not at the brochure.

Next to the FHD was the FAST, our high-speed system for low and medium thicknesses, with linear motors: two machines answering two different problems, high power and productivity on thin material.

Explaining them was the Italian technical team, who spent four days walking visitors through how they work, sample in hand. It is the part of a trade show that never shows up in booth photos, and it is the part that turns a walk-by into a conversation.

The numbers: +21% contacts

The result is not just an end-of-show feeling. LAMIERA 2025 closed with 21% more contacts than previous editions: that is the figure we care about most, because it counts the people who walked into the booth and wanted to talk to us.

The show's own numbers were solid too, and they are worth keeping as a benchmark for the next edition:

  • More than 18,000 professional visitors over the four days.
  • Over 6,000 visitors coming from Made in Steel, the event running at the same time.
  • 40,000 square meters of exhibition space.
  • Over 400 exhibiting companies, 31% of them from abroad, from 23 countries.

In a hall with that density of competitors, standing out is not a matter of booth square meters: it is a matter of having something the others do not have yet. This year it was the 60 kW.

What comes next

The team is already working on the next target, and the goal has not changed: pushing power and efficiency further in metal processing. In the meantime, thank you to everyone who came to see us. The next LAMIERA runs May 11 to 14, 2027, again at Fieramilano Rho.
