The Cutlite Penta interview series continues. This time we meet Jérôme Baguelin, president of Cutlite Penta France. His drive and his focus on customer needs have helped Cutlite Penta laser cutting systems grow quickly in the French market. He told us his story and his view of the company.
Tell us your story.
My name is Jérôme Baguelin and I am the president of Cutlite Penta France. After specializing in industrial maintenance techniques, I worked for 10 years as a technician at a Japanese company. I then became Service Manager for the Pays de la Loire division. In 2007 I founded BTMO, a company specialized in the sale and after-sales of sheet metal working machines. We handle several types of systems, most of which come from Italy.
How did you get to know Cutlite Penta?
After selling a Vimercati press brake, I came to Italy with the customer to collect the machine. That customer wanted to buy a laser from a manufacturer that also produced the cutting head in-house. When I heard about Cutlite Penta, I immediately contacted Sales Manager Alessio Innocenti, who showed me around the factory.
That visit convinced me that Cutlite Penta was the right choice. I bought a first laser machine, presented it in my showroom and, during the BTMO open house, several customers ordered the system.
After a year of working together, in 2021 we decided to found Cutlite Penta France. Since then we have sold over 20 Cutlite Penta laser machines in France and we keep growing in the market.
