Fiber Compact: the 3D laser cutting machine

New, compact, three-dimensional. And above all: a machine that learns.

Fiber Compact is Cutlite Penta's new machine for three-dimensional laser cutting of metals. Thanks to its fiber laser source it works many materials and is designed for general industries and automotive.

Which metals does Fiber Compact cut

Its fiber laser source lets it work many types of metals:

  • iron
  • stainless steel
  • aluminum and anodized aluminum
  • galvanized steel

The most suitable fields of application are general industries and automotive.

Motion: linear motors and direct-drive rotary axes

Absolute linear motors drive the machine's Cartesian axes, while the rotary axes are direct drive and absolute as well. The shape of the head and the ability to rotate the B axis by ±180° let it quickly reach even the most awkward angles of the workpiece.

Alfa Learning: the machine that learns

Fiber Compact features a learning device, and this is what makes it particularly high-performing. Alfa Learning acquires and edits cutting paths and geometries, and can even build a program from scratch: all with functions that are simple to apply and editable from a touch tablet on board the machine.

A machine that learns the cutting paths.

The strengths of Fiber Compact

Fiber Compact stands out from other machines for a few features:

  • High-gantry structure, with the work table 400 mm off the floor: easy to set up and completely free of obstructions.
  • Compact on-board utilities: electrical cabinets, laser and chiller are on the machine, for short installation times and low impact on the floor layout.
  • Linear motors with absolute Bosch scales and direct drive on the rotary axes: unique speed and precision, no machine homing ever and no re-zeroing after collisions.
  • A new cabin, designed for easier access.
