EuroBLECH and FABTECH 2026: a piece of Tuscany on the show floor and 100 mm cut live

In the same week of October, Cutlite was in Hanover and in Las Vegas. At EuroBLECH 2026 the FHD 4030 cut 100 mm Hardox at 60 kW, in front of visitors. At FABTECH 2026 a 50 kW FHD cut the same thickness with oxygen. Two shows, two continents, the same machine.

But this recap doesn't start with the cuts. It starts with the people who came by the booths and what they found there.

Two booths, the same week

In Hanover we had an island booth in Hall 13, open on all four sides, with the FHD at the center, running for all four days.

The bulk of the work was done by the technicians, before the show even opened. Matteo Biagini and Marco Scalzo arrived in Hanover eight days before opening to install the machine, with Olaf Heiseler, our German technician, on the electrical connections. Then the test cuts, thickness after thickness, to reach Tuesday with the parameters dialed in. During the show days Gabriele Trafficante and Lucio Verdi joined them: the four of them ran the demos from morning to closing, at the machine for every visitor, cut after cut.

Around them, the sales team, with Alessio Venturini for Italy and Cristian Soldan for export, our colleagues from the European branches, back office and customer care at the desk for the first handshake. Giulia Freni, from customer care, acted as interpreter with German customers.

In Las Vegas, in the North Hall, two teams worked the booth together. The Prato team, the people who design and build the FHD, with technicians Matteo Secci, Federico Maestrelli and Stefano Mariotti flown in from Italy to install the machine and run the demos. And the Cutlite America team, the people who sell, install and service it across the United States. For anyone visiting a US trade show, it means finding in one place both the people who built the machine and the people who will come to the shop after installation.

A piece of Tuscany in Hall 13

The Hanover booth was designed and built by our marketing team, down to the details. The idea was simple: take outside Italy not just a machine, but the place it comes from.

So every afternoon there was a Tuscan aperitivo at the booth, breakfast in the morning and a buffet at lunch. Everyone who left us their contact went home with a tin of Tuscan extra virgin olive oil, produced by an estate a few kilometers from Prato. It's not folklore. It's the most direct way to say that design, production, service and spare parts are all in the same place, and that the machine on display in Hanover was born there.

Made in Tuscany works as an argument only if the visitor actually sees Tuscany. In Hanover they saw it. In Las Vegas they met it in person: the technicians who came from Prato, the people who install and test the FHD in the shop every day, for four days of live cutting.

The machines that stopped visitors in their tracks

The surprise of this edition, for those who were at the booth every day: the attention visitors paid to the large format machine and high power, together with bevel cutting. The demand went almost in one direction only, toward machines that replace a well-established technology with new levels of productivity.

The questions were always the same three: what power are you cutting at, at what speed, and can I see a cut live to judge the edge quality. Many people stopped during the high-power gas mix cuts, partly because of the noise, or when we moved on to 100 mm and 50 mm stainless steel.

The two-gantry configuration on the same 8 meter table, with bevel cutting and drilling integrated, was the most requested feature of the show: the part comes off cut, beveled and drilled in a single cycle, ready for welding. Drilling on thick plate, combined with bevel cutting, was appreciated more than any other process.

In Las Vegas the audience was largely made up of shops that cut thick plate with plasma. The questions were about cutting times and edge quality at 100 mm, with the comparison made directly on the parts cut at the booth. For certain large format applications the FHD positions itself as an alternative to plasma cutting, with the potential for higher speeds and better edge quality.

Thick plate cut live

Walking the show floor, the confirmation: when it came to thick plate laser cutting actually done on the machine, at the show, we were the only ones. Parts came off the table still hot and visitors picked them up, with Marco, Lucio, Matteo and Gabriele answering questions on gas, parameters and edge quality.

The demo cuts in Hanover, FHD 4030

  • 100 mm Hardox and 70 mm with oxygen, at 60 kW.
  • 25, 30 and 40 mm Hardox with gas mix, at 60 kW.
  • 20, 35 and 50 mm stainless steel with nitrogen, at 60 kW.
  • Carbon steel up to 30 mm with gas mix, at 60 kW.
  • 15, 20, 30 and 50 mm carbon steel with oxygen.

All cuts with the EVO 4 cutting head, designed and built in-house, working at up to 60 kW and 25 bar. It's the same machine used for the demos at CUTLIVE26, our open house in Prato last May.

The demo cuts in Las Vegas, FHD at 50 kW

  • 100 mm Hardox, 75 and 50 mm with oxygen.
  • 50 mm Hardox with gas mix.
  • 25, 20 and 12 mm carbon steel with gas mix.

Who came, and what's next

Between Hanover and Las Vegas, hundreds of companies came through the booths: job shops, heavy carpentry, structural steel fabricators, shipbuilding, earthmoving equipment, energy. Most arrived with a specific request on material and thickness and saw the matching cut on the machine.

In Hanover our sales people, Italian and international, brought their own customers to the show to see 60 kW on thick plate with their own eyes. The new contacts collected were many, largely companies we didn't know before. They are already on the sales team's desk for follow-up.

The real work starts now, with shop visits and demos in our demo area.

Next stop: LAMIERA 2027

The FHD 60 kW returns to the show floor in Milan, at LAMIERA, May 11 to 14, 2027.

Those who don't want to wait can evaluate it on their own production in the Prato demo area: our technicians prepare a cutting session on the materials, thicknesses and formats of your real production, with the parameters set for that case. No need to bring material.

If you met us in Hanover or Las Vegas, the demo is the next step: contact us and we'll pick up the conversation where we left it.
